Spring Creek Township

History of Warren County Pennsylvania                    Schenck 1887

Spring Creek Township was formed from the original town of Brokenstraw in 1821. The Brokenstraw and Spring Creeks are the principal streams in the town. The first settlement was made by Andrew Evers and Elijah Jackson. These two men came to this wilderness together in 1797. They came from Union Mills, now called Union City. Both owned farms in Spring Creek and lived there for the rest of their lives.

Spring Creek had the usual lumber mills, tannery, and stores found in other Warren County townships.
